About the Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) between the ages of 16; £85 - £95 a day
- Work with teachers to plan and deliver learning activities that meet the individual needs of students with SEND.
- Provide one-to-one support for students with additional needs.
- Assist with class activities, including supporting students with behavioural, emotional, and physical needs.
Foster a safe and positive learning environment for all students.
- Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback to teachers and senior leadership.
- Attend meetings with parents, teachers, and other professionals as required.
Requirements
Experience working with students with SEND, ideally in an educational setting.
Knowledge of a range of SEN needs and strategies to support students with these needs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
A patient, empathetic, and positive approach to working with students.
Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent, would be an advantage.
Enhanced Child and Adult DBS on the update service or willing to apply for one.
